A friend of mine Matt Clark is great behind the camera and post production work as well. In my eyes he kind of defines a creative. He not only does his craft well, he has an eye for doing things a little differently. Check out his newest slide-show work above. This post is dedicated to everyone out there who picks up a camera and thinks a photographer. Fall back and take notes.
I am pretty sure this is one of the last parts Penny had before going into hiding. I borrowed this video from a homie and totally lost it, needless to say he was not hyped. TSA & Ghetto Child definitely remind me of baggy jeans and bulky technical sneakers. Muska with the brimmed beanie was so much better then the Muska with moon boots you see today. Either way this is some fine footage of Mr. Penny smashing it. Enjoy your Monday.
New arrivals from Flip and Habitat on the wood side of things. Sizes range from 7.6 – 8 and everything in between. Also fresh in are some new Indy’s and Spitfires. There is a sale on some decks here in the shop come down and check it out.
When I was a young buck watching Shorty’s Fufill The Dream, Steve Olson skated to this song I couldn’t get enough of it turned out to be Above The Clouds by GangStarr. That started a trend with me and a few homies listening to any GangStarr we could get our hands on. I am pretty sure my homie and I ran GangStarr for years on end. It just never got old. So today is a bummer to hear that Guru the MC of the group has passed. They are a legend in hip-hop and a nice reminder of dope times in my life. So today come into the shop and say a GangStarr track and earn 10% off your purchase.
I stumbled upon this last night while scouring vimeo for dope videos. This is the last part of a mini segment on Huf. In the prior clips they speak about his life growing up in NY and all that good stuff. This one spoke to me the most because it gave an insight to him opening a shop that led to his brand. Both the shop and brand are really inspirational to me. I really like seeing these bits and pieces that go behind the scenes.
Before taking a pretty long hiatus from skating I remember these ON Skateboard videos but I don’t remembered this one. Youtube/Vimeo king Mr. Izzo sent me this earlier today. I am sucker for things like this history on spots, companies, riders. Personally I think it’s really dope. Also two of my favorite skaters ever went there and demolished the place(popps and wenning). Mid grind beam from Wenning so dope. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
We just got some wheels from Prize Fighter Cutlery in sizes 52mm, 53.5mm and some cruisers. Also our private label blank tees have been delivered with some new colors and some restocks of old colors.
Last night I was blessed by resident filmer Chris Carbaugh. This is a creative piece that I really am hyped on a lil humor, creativity and of course style. Features Billy Willis , Bobby Izzo, & Christian Rivera.
Converse is a huge staple for our shop. Yesterday we received some CTS and Pappalardo and they’re almost all gone. So come down and get ‘em. I forgot to mention, every shoe in the shop is under $70.
